For me, self-love has been more than just a daily practice—it’s been a lifeline. It has been a transformative force that has helped me heal from childhood traumas, depression, and anxiety. These experiences and the power of self-love have inspired me to launch Love You Well, with the hope of empowering Australian women to prioritise themselves in the same way. Sarah’s Journey to Finding Balance

I’m Sarah, a 31 year-old teacher from Melbourne. Life felt like it was slipping away from me, tangled in a web of endless lesson plans and the incessant pressure to be the perfect educator. My mental health had gradually deteriorated, anxiety and stress casting dark shadows over my days.

One pivotal night in my cluttered classroom, as exhaustion washed over me, I recognised the need for change. Determined to restore balance, I began with small acts of self-love. Every morning, I ventured out for a walk to greet the sunrise, filling my lungs with fresh morning air. Journaling became my refuge—a space where I spilled my fears and chaotic thoughts with unfiltered honesty. Evening yoga sessions turned into sanctuaries, brief yet powerful respites from the day’s turmoil.

These seemingly minor acts gently chipped away at my anxiety. I learned the importance of showing up for myself with love and patience. My journey isn’t about perfection, but now when I face the mirror, I see a woman who is more than her to-do list.
